Roxcy, or "Sweetheart" as we have always called her, is everything we were looking for in a therapy dog.

Intelligence

Roxcy is alert and interested. She is a quick learner, and loves training time. Fifteen minutes of training in the morning helps her have a calm demeanor. She also loves puzzle toys.
Roxcy loves to show off her tricks including retrieving items, kenneling on command, staying in place even if I leave the room, and closing doors.

Temperament

Roxcy is extremely loving. She craves touch and attention. She loves to please her owners.
Roxcy is also generally secure and content. If she gets her few minutes of exercise and training (mental exercise) in the morning, she is content to sleep nearby while I work, or kennel when I need to go into the office.

Activity Level

Roxcy loves to play. She is very gentle and adjusts the play to a much less energetic level with small children.
If she gets her 10-15 minutes of playing fetch at the park in the morning, she is quiet and well behaved the rest of the day.

Role

Roxcy is therapy dog to our five adopted children. She is naturally attentive and supportive to people in emotional distress.
She is very social and outgoing.

Coat

Roxcy is a straight haired first generation labradoodle with a beautiful golden color. She does not have furnishings, so she looks more like a slightly curly Labrador. Her puppies, being F1B’s, will have furnishings and curly or wavy coats (95%).
